Jan Dorothy

I spotted this little sign outside the Kennett Y the other day and a vivid memory of Jan came back to me. The aerobics class that I took for years followed the one that she taught, and so when I came into the Y I'd always see her sitting in the lobby chatting with her friends. She'd always make a point of greeting me, with a fond "my dear." She was a warm, delightful, loving human being.

  1. Thank you for your lovely write up. I was reading the Kennett Paper and it took my breath away to see my Mom's Y plague. Through tears I read the memory of my wonderful best friend who I was so proud to call Mom. I miss her every day and I was so touched that others pause to think of her as well. As I shared this with my eight year old, she promptly raised her head to the sky and declared, "Nanny Girl, you made the Paper!!".

    Thank you, my dear,
